OLEAN — Local businesses can apply to be part of the next round of the Laine Business Accelerator.
The fourth annual Laine Business Accelerator opened its application at 5 p.m. Tuesday, with a kickoff party at The Hub, on the top floor of Laine Place at 301 N. Union St.
“We’ve been meeting once a month for the last six months,” said Olean Business Development Corp. CEO Bob Forness.
OBDC, alongside the St. Bonaventure University, operates the program for a 16-week program that provides support to small businesses. The program includes weekly meetings with other members of the cohort starting around Labor Day, as well as mentorships and $5,000 in seed funds. At the end of the program, business owners put on a public showcase to explain their business and what support the Accelerator provided.
